Welcome!

My name is Erin Lesser. I created Lesser-Known Library with the intent to collect/share my favorite releases, connect with the community, and help promote the many talented artists you can discover here. I hope you enjoy exploring the music and find some new favorites of your own. My husband David and I have been collaborating on the collection, formerly known as FGLD! (Fuck Genres Let’s Dance), since its inception in 2015. We share a love for dance music and are actively adding new selections to the library, so you can expect fresh new tracks delivered regularly.

As of March 2022, I’ve retired FGLD! (rebranding as Lesser-Known Library) and I also launched my new DJ project, Hyphy Wifey. I started teaching myself how to mix when life took some unexpected turns in 2020 (i.e. pregnancy, the pandemic, and the sudden the loss of my mother). Embracing the challenges and the unique opportunity at the time, I began to immerse myself in my new hobby and discovered a newfound passion for blending my favorite beats. 

My journey as a DJ is a testament to my dedication and love for the music and the community that means so very much to me. I’m a passionate advocate for supporting other talented artists, recognizing their potential, and amplifying their voices. I believe in the power of unity and collaboration and want to do my part to highlight all of the amazing talent that I am exposed to. As as DJ and a tireless curator, I am determined to make my mark on the dance floor and in the hearts of my listeners.
